Institutional partnerships

As an organisation concerned for the welfare of all children, SOS Children’s village constantly works on improvement of the services it provides, improving the access to national services for its beneficiaries, initiating new social services, participating in networks, platforms and partnerships for improvement of the legal regulation which is in the interest of the target group. During these past years, we have launched numerous initiatives, both independently and with other partners whose intention was to improve the measures for employment of children without parents and parental care, to increase the emolument for providing care to children and to alter and upgrade the Rulebook on organized living with support, we have realized comparative analysis of the alternative care standards, and we have participated in development of the National Youth Strategy in partnership with the Coalition “Sega”. SOS Children’s village Macedonia was the initiator of the creation of the informal Platform of organizations and institutions in the municipality of Gazi Baba, which was intended to improve the situation of the families and children at social risk. We have made contributions as members of the coordinating body, the focus-group and the workgroups in fields with priority such as education, employment, and support before employment of the youth. We were active participants in the process of creating a local youth strategy in the municipality of Gazi Baba for the 2016-2020 period, and the National youth strategy for the 2016-2020 period.
